Get ready for a fun, memorable, and, purposeful summer! Immerse yourself in Ranch Life 101 or Ranch Ranch Family 101, where every day presents a variety of different ranch experiences to participate in.
Children & teens who love animals and the outdoors, don’t mind getting their hands dirty and want to feel more confident within themselves. Ages 4+ recommended.
Each day is active, moving from a variety of Horse Centric life skills and outdoor activities like hiking with horses, grooming, ranch chores, trail clearing, fence building, hay baling, horsemanship, arts and crafts, organic gardening, and any number of other activities required on a working ranch!
Daily experiential lessons facilitated by advanced certified EAGALA Equine specialists, will empower individuals to not only learn to take care of the horses but also learn transferable skill sets that will help them in their everyday lives. The EAGALA Model— using horses in ground-based activities to help achieve personal development goals — is woven throughout everything that we do at Berkshire HorseWorks, Inc.
Berkshire HorseWorks is a safe and positive environment, where kids can still be kids, but have the opportunities to learn exciting new skills that will contribute to making your child more confident, self-sufficient, and better able to cope with new situations. This summer, whether on the ground or in the saddle, Ranch Life Skills at Berkshire HorseWorks will lay down roots of resilience in a fun-filled, activity-packed day at the ranch.

Throughout the pandemic and isolation, families have felt the need to reconnect and sought ways to get outdoors together. Ranch Family 101 provides a chance to do just that!
Similar to Ranch Life 101 but for families, up to 8 people.
Structured for all ages and abilities, Ranch Family 101 is a unique opportunity to learn and play side by side with the herd. Spend an afternoon in the sun as you problem-solve during an EAGALA session, paint a barn…even a horse! It’s time to reinforce the familial bond and discover new things that only the herd can show you. 
Family sessions are very active, moving from a variety of HorseCentric life skills, trail walks through the woods, horse billiards, and outdoor activities essential to daily ranch life.
Each animal at Berkshire HorseWorks has his or her own distinct personality. Along your journey in the presence of your equine family, you may discover you feel drawn to or identify with one particular equine….horse, or donkey! We will help you figure out WHY!
Through daily experiential lessons, families will not only learn to take care of the horses but also leave the day feeling fulfilled from having accomplished something together at the ranch.
