Team Building

Team Building at BHW

Are ropes courses, golf outings, and fishing trips no longer bringing you closer to your team’s objectives? Look to the equine: the growing trend for corporate team building has four legs.

Why Horses?

horses are innately sensitive and open, interaction with them serves as a mirror of emotions and behaviors. Participants are
empowered by the lessons learned in the arena and translate that energy, attitude, and behavior when they return to the workplace.

After completing a session, 83% of participants rated themselves better decision makers and 91% felt increased cohesiveness within their team.

Led by EAGALA trained and certified professionals, the approach is extremely effective in situations as diverse as:

  • Enhancing critical thinking
  • Building cohesion
  • Utilizing undiscovered problem-solving skills
  • Landing a new client
  • Navigating new management styles & initiatives
  • Mitigating crises
  • Screening candidates for new hires
  • Improving communication
  • Fostering camaraderie
  • Building trust & accountability

Our tailored workshops use the interaction between people and horses as the basis for personal growth and exploring the group’s infrastructure.

All legs are on the ground, human and horse side by side, ready to learn. The horses are incorporated in direct and indirect metaphorical and role playing activities which require groups to think strategically while they navigate challenges & obstacle courses to achieve their developmental goals.

Because of inherent herd dynamics where each horse has a role, equine assisted work is an expeditious way to identify the hierarchy and nuances that lie within corporate culture. Who’s the alpha in the group? This innovative modality serves as the perfect complement to traditional training.
