Fall and Winter storms have wiped out what little grass we planted to feed our herd this year. Severe weather has left our grazing paddocks flooded and unusable. We have had to rely heavily on purchased hay —and prices have risen significantly.
This GivingTuesday and until December 31st, we are asking for support to help feed Zephyr, Spirit, Gunnar, William, 007, Elektra, Bolt, Rodeo, Nellie, Wildflower and Star and cover their essential medication needs through what is expected to be a rough winter. Your donation directly provides hay, grain, medication, and veterinary care to the animals who give so much back to our community. Our equines have worked with over 4,000 at-risk youth, first responders, veterans, families, and other vulnerable populations in the Berkshires of all ages, with mental health, literacy, and behavioral challenges through Eagala Model Equine-Assisted programs.
We have received a pledge from a generous donor to match all funds up to $5,000 if reached before December 31st.
We truly need your help to keep our herd healthy, safe, and fed this winter. Your support ensures these incredible animals can continue doing what they do best—helping people. Thank you for standing with us over the past eleven years and for being passionate about the work these horses do helping those with traumas heal and those seeking a sense of self build the confidence they need to thrive in today’s world.
