Originally piloted in 2022 as an extension of the Ranch Life 101 summer program, the fall program returns, providing participants opportunities to further develop and build upon the skills they gained during the Ranch Life 101 summer program. Attendance from summer 2025 is not a prerequisite for registration. Ranch Life 101, is an authentic ranch adventure that provides a platform in nature for life skill development as children engage in developmentally appropriate experiences. Through the powerful interaction with horses, participants will learn how to develop relationships with the herd of horses and donkeys which in turn will grow their own ability to apply new skills to experiences outside the ranch. The program, a combination of Eagala Model and Eagala-based activities, focuses on practicing patience, building trust, developing confidence, cultivating responsibility, strengthening mentor/mentee skills, fostering respect, and growing meaningful friendships. The curriculum emphasizes ground-based activities with minimal riding. No horse experience is necessary to participate.
